Raptors Clinch Playoff Berth With 15–11 Thriller Over Hawks
OGDEN, UT — September 5, 2025 — One of the most magical nights of the season ended in champagne and cigar smoke at Lindquist Field, as the Ogden Raptors clinched the final Pioneer League playoff spot with a 15–11 slugfest win over the Boise Hawks.
The night had it all early deficits, clutch swings, and relentless energy from a Raptors team that refused to settle. Boise jumped ahead 7–1 after two innings, but Ogden answered with a three-run second, a three-run fourth, and a four-run fifth to storm back and seize control.
Dylan Wilkinson drove in three runs, Elliot Good added two more, and Cole Jordan went 2-for-5 with three RBIs, including a key second-inning single that swung momentum. Connor Bagnieski reached base four times and plated a run, while True Fontenot scored three times and collected three hits to keep the offense humming.
On the mound, the bullpen delivered under pressure. After Boise tied the game in the sixth on Jake Hjelle’s two-run homer, Nik Cardinal, Cameron Edmonson, and Ryan Velazquez steadied things late. Velázquez closed the door in the ninth to trigger the postseason celebration.
The victory capped a remarkable turnaround from a team that finished 41–55 just one year ago. Behind skipper Evan Parker, Ogden has reinvented itself around a balanced core of bats and a consistently reliable bullpen, returning the franchise to the postseason for the second time in three years. The Raptors now look to carry their momentum into the Pioneer League playoffs in pursuit of their second championship in the last three seasons.
